When we hear rumors, or gossip or even what some might consider facts, we have to consider the source. I believe that to be true as we listen to the radio, watch TV or read the newspapers. What is behind the message or story? Fear, profit, ego, greed, enjoyment, inspiration? Many times we don't ask enough questions to find out who or what the source is- we just take the information and pass it on as a truth.

Food and nutrition are topics that are frequently talked about through these mediums so who is the source of this information?

Weston A Price (www.westonaprice.org) examined uncivilized areas back in the 1940s to find what the individuals ate to live. They ate or used all parts of the animal and eating the fat of the animal was sacred. We are told from our civilized culture that fat is bad for us. The uncivilized cultures had no disease to speak of and we have more and more each year. They were not selling a product or trying to make a profit, but just trying to survive. Maybe we should consider the source of our information as we move forward to a healthier lifestyle.

God gave us cows, cows give us whole milk, with good fats, so who gave us 1%, 2% and skim? For what purpose? Our brain is made up of 60% fat…are we starving it by denying the good fats it was designed to receive from nature? Is that why we have so many memory issues in our culture at an earlier and earlier age? Does man know better than nature? In fact many pharmaceutical drugs are designed from looking at herbs, plants, foods etc to see what constituents they are made of. Then they isolate those components to make them synthetically in a laboratory. They can't patent nature but they can patent a medication.

Start considering the source of what you put in your body...
